Adult Pond Hockey

Adult pond hockey offers players 18 and over the chance to play in the open air in a non-check, no lift game. Our slotted wood nets are the same style used by the US Pond Hockey Championships. This 80 minute pickup game is a throwback to the old days, choosing sides and just playing, and is the only location in Manhattan to offer a weekly pond hockey session. All players must have gloves, a hockey helmet, hockey skates (please note that rental hockey skates are limited in size and availability) and a stick. Other hockey equipment is optional, but highly recommended. Please bring a light and dark colored jersey or shirt.

Wednesday Adult Pond Hockey Policy

 

Due to high demands of our 6:30 p.m. Wednesday evening pond hockey session, we will be capping the number at 20 players. Pond Hockey is reserved for Stuy Town Residents and 1 Guest, so please bring and present your resident ID upon check in at the counter. Additional guest of residents are welcome to play as well if there are open spots available after 6:45 p.m. Patrons must be 18 years or older to play.  Please try to arrive 15 minutes early to ensure your place in the program. Thank you for your cooperation.

Youth Hockey

Our youth hockey program offers kids of all ages the chance to receive quality instruction and the opportunity to play the sport without having to commit to a full season. See our Hours and Pricing page for times and rates.

Please note that all players are responsible for their own equipment, including (but not limited to):

  • Hockey helmet with full facial protection

  • Hockey-style skates (skates with a toe pick are not permitted)

  • Shin guards

  • Hockey pants (thigh protection)

  • Shoulder pads

  • Hockey gloves

  • Stick

  • Mouthpiece
